Over the Rainbow

I live in a country that just nominated Barack Obama to be the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States.

Wow. We Rock! 

My sixth grade teacher Miss Mokros must be over the moon. As a freedom rider in the early sixties she must be so proud to see that we as a people have come this far. Miss Mokros, if you are still with us, thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Congratulations Mr. Obama! Now let's go kick some Republican ass!

Common Sense

If I've learned anything in my 52 years on the planet, I've learned that common sense, isn't that common. Just think about all of the stupid things you and your friends did growing up. Oh, you didn't have that kind of youth? Well then think of all the ridiculous things you've seen at work, at school, in your own home.

Mr. Mccain tells us that "he trusts in the common sense of the American people". Sounds great...but.... Really? Really John. You are making your decisions based on the guidance of people who bought Pet Rocks, Beanie Babies and still believe that we went to Iraq because Saddam had weapons of mass destruction? Really?
